I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the weekend. That’s why I’m posting my weekly picks a little earlier than usual.
The second Saturday in October is always my favorite day in the fall, and it has a little something to do with a little ol’ football game at the Cotton Bowl. In case you haven’t heard, the mighty Texas Longhorns will be facing those no good, lousy Oklahoma Sooners in what could be a Red River Shootout for the ages.
Texas-OU will have my full, undivided attention for three hours Saturday, but I hear there’s some other games being played this weekend. Including a pretty good undercard in the Big 12 between Oklahoma State and Missouri, which have two of the most prolific offenses around. Oh, and Texas Tech is taking on some program from the Midwest that used to strike fear in its opponents.
