As I look to the upcoming election, I am looking for change. We need a candidate who can bring hope.
We also need a maverick. We need someone who can break from the politics of the past and lead with creativity.
We need strong leadership as we face these difficult economic times. We need a leader for the 21st century.
We need (fill in the blank here) as mayor of Jackson.
The rest of you can worry about the presidential race. I assume most of you have made up your minds and we will make it official on Nov. 4.
But we also should be looking ahead to next spring and the elections for mayor and City Council.
