Young may be the only one who can stop USC

Saturday night, top-ranked USC was faster than No. 5 Ohio State. Also bigger, stronger, more skilled, better-looking and for all I know, more versed in world affairs. You can say that the Buckeyes should be kept far away from the national stage for the next few months, and you might be right, but ask yourself this:
Would you want your team facing USC?

It’s been a long time since the Trojans looked so dominant. By the end of their 35-3 waxing of Ohio State, I was ready to pencil them into the BCS championship game.
Maybe the Trojans will somehow lose between now and January. More likely, they will now whip their entire Pac-10 schedule and beat Notre Dame 114 to negative-7, then go to Miami to try to claim their third national title under Pete Carroll.
USC missed the last two BCS title games because of a stunning upset loss to UCLA and an even more stunning upset loss to Stanford, and the Trojans seem determined to avoid such nonsense this time.
