Cutler now leads 2006 class

Wonder if Titans owner Bud Adams wants a 2006 draft do-over?
Let’s revisit the quarterback debate.
Vince Young was picked third out of Texas by the Titans. He was tall, athletic, fresh off winning a national championship game in impressive fashion against Southern Cal.
Matt Leinart went 10th to Arizona. He won a Heisman Trophy at Southern Cal, won two national championships, operated a pro-style offense and could make all the throws.
Jay Cutler had NFL size, an NFL arm and brain. Everyone underestimated his toughness.
Cutler was right under the Titans’ nose. But … he played at Vanderbilt. Thus, Cutler waited till the 11th pick before Denver called his name.
It’s early in their careers, but if the music stopped today, Cutler would be at the head of the 2006 quarterback class.
