Democrats across Mississippi who watched Barack Obama’s acceptance of the Democratic presidential nomination Thursday said he put to rest questions of whether he is ready for the office.
But several also said much work remains for him to win this state.
In Jackson, about 200 Democrats gathered at separate venues to watch the Illinois senator’s nationally-televised speech in Denver. More than 11 Democratic “convention watch parties” were held statewide.
