I have been told by two sources, both reliable and one very close to the Scruggs family, that Scruggs is being detained not in the camp in Kentucky but in an adjoining maximum security unit, and that the reasons being given are specious (that he’s a flight risk– he proved otherwise by walking into the camp knowing what he is facing, that they want to prove he’s not getting favorable treatment– which they’re proving by selectively punishing him differently, which seems no more right to me). I’m also told he had a serious medical problem and the family was not told for about a week.
