Today’s two practices are now in the books. Two two-a-days down, one to go. And that’s Wednesday.
As for today, here’s the skinny . . .
• While X-rays don’t show a fracture in OL Tobias Davis’ left ankle, it’s severely sprained enough that he’s out 4-6 weeks. That’s a terrible blow, because he was really coming into his own. The true freshman had worked his way up to No. 2 on the depth chart at left guard.
• After practicing outside in the morning, the team went indoors at the Palmeiro Center in the evening. Sylvester Croom praised his team’s concentration, but added, “They’re a little tired, a little leg-weary and beat-up, hamstrings are sore and all that. But that’s the way it’s supposed to be at this point.”
