OLE MISS:Another injury strikes Rebels’ D

OXFORD – Ole Miss added another defensive player to the injury list Saturday, this time outside linebacker Allen Walker.
The sophomore from Olive Branch sustained a knee sprain early in the scrimmage and did not return.
The injury is the second in two days, the only days in full gear, to a Rebels’ defensive starter. Senior defensive tackle Peria Jerry sprained a knee Friday evening.
“We probably scrimmage less than a lot of teams, yet try to be physical,” Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt said. “You do that without tackling to the ground, but on Saturdays you have to tackle a little bit. It’s about blocking and tackling.”
The severity of Walker’s injury was not immediately known.
Nutt said he expects Jerry to be out about 10 days.
