Terry voting precinct proposed for split
Hinds County is asking the Justice Department to approve splitting the Terry voting precinct into two precincts.
The precinct now has 4,200 registered voters, according to the county elections commission.
The split will create a Wynndale voting precinct with 2,600 voters. The remaining voters would continue to vote in their usual precinct.
Voters will be notified of the changes and where they will vote once approval is given.
