Can’t duck the truth: It’s time to talk football
The sign in the Peabody lobby welcomed everyone to Conference USA’s football media day and the fans jammed together in two thick lines.
They jostled for position, held their digital and video cameras poised.

Little Tucker Richardson, 7, responded with a blank stare.
“No,” he said. “The ducks.”
Ahhhhh.
Conference USA football media day was tucked away upstairs.
“There’s never been a better time to be associated with Conference USA!” said Conference Commissioner Britton Banowsky, the first man on the microphone.
OK, except when Cincinnati and Louisville were still in the league.
But never mind that. Sunday was a big day for Conference USA and a big day for you, too.
