Dual sport promises attractive to Johnson

Ole Miss has joined the parade of five other schools that have offered dual-sport star Ricky Johnson from Lafayette, La.
The 6-foot-2, 190 pound wide receiver had over 1,000 yards rushing, almost 300 yards passing and just under 300 yards receiving.

“They move me around a lot,” Johnson told Rivals.com. “I don’t really have one definite spot. Whatever play is designed for, I just move to that position. It’s kind of fun.”
Johnson also scored 19 points per game for his basketball team and in track he ran a 10.7 100 meters, 21.6 200 meters and long jumped 23 feet 2 inches.
His offers come from Ole Miss, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Southern Miss, Tulane and Tulsa.
Like a lot of prospects in Louisiana, Johnson could fall victim of a scholarship numbers crunch at LSU, where the Tigers are expected to sign between 15 and 20 prospects next February, short of the 25 allotted by the NCAA due a shortage of seniors on the roster.
