STARKVILLE — When he accepted the Mississippi State baseball coaching job almost two weeks ago, John Cohen promised to recruit at a high level.
With his pedigree of top recruiting classes at normally sleepy Kentucky, fans believed him. And with the pedigree of the staff who will assist him, there’s that same common theme – recruiting, recruiting, recruiting. (And more recruiting.)

The core of that staff became official Wednesday with the hiring of High Point (N.C.) head coach Butch Thompson.
