Q&A: College athletic directors address issues

More than 2,000 college administrators descended upon Dallas last week for the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics convention.
Athletic directors from some of the most powerful of BCS conference schools to those from junior colleges roamed the Hilton Anatole the last few days.
SportsDay caught up with some of the Big 12 and other BCS conference athletic directors and asked them about topics from a potential college football playoff system to the Big 12’s revenue-sharing plan to their thoughts on granting a fifth year of eligibility to athletes.
Are you in favor of a college football playoff system that would replace the current BCS format?
Florida State’s Randy Spetman: The system that is in place is working. Obviously, at our university, our president would like for it to go to a championship and so I support his ideas in that. But the current system is in place for a while, and we ought to continue to analyze what the success of it will be.
