Jackson Mayor Frank Melton says he’s disappointed with the contractor in charge of developing Farish Street. And he plans to do something about it.
Melton plans to ask the City Council to pull the contract for the redevelopment of Farish Street. He says the company hasn’t been performing.
The mayor says he’s putting the project out for bid through the Department of Economic Development. He’s already spoken with several local contractors. However, Melton says he hasn’t yet alerted the current developer that he hopes to pull the multi-million dollar contract.
