One of two men convicted of capital murder in Marcus Gentry’s death may be executed in August.
With Wednesday’s lethal injection of Earl Wesley Berry, Dale Leo Bishop now rises to the top of the state’s list for execution, according to state Attorney General Jim Hood.
Hood said an execution date for Bishop could be set for as early as August. The case is currently before the U.S. Supreme Court. Two other death-row inmates, Gerald James Holland and Paul Everett Woodward, should follow soon after, Hood said.
