MSU graduate wins $100,000 on ‘Jeopardy!’
The Mississippi State University graduate who took first place in the Jeopardy! College Championship says he didn’t do anything special leading up to his appearance on the TV quiz show.
“You can over prepare for things,” 22-year-old Joey Beachum of Saltillo said. “I actually hate studying.”
Beachum graduated from MSU two weeks ago with a degree in political science and a 4.0 grade-point average.
He took $100,000 for winning the Jeopardy! tournament, which aired May 5 through Friday.
