The NFL misses Mora’s classic rants
Playoffs? Don’t talk about playoffs. You kidding me? Playoffs? I’m just hoping we can win a game!
The NFL sure misses Jim Mora and his postgame tirades.

Mora, the former coach of the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts, made a career of getting teams into contention, only to fall short in the postseason.
The frustration of never winning the big one seemed to get to Mora frequently, as his outbursts after tough losses were the stuff of legend.

In 1987, Mora lost his cool after a missed field led to a 24-22 loss to the 49ers.

“The Saints ain’t good enough,” fumed Mora. “We’re close, and close don’t mean (bleep). I’m tired of coming close. I’m pissed off right now. You bet your ass I am. I’m sick of coulda, woulda, shoulda, coming close, if only.”
