Bond bills totaling $97.4 million, including funds for universities and colleges in Northeast Mississippi, have been signed into law by Gov. Haley Barbour.
The bulk of the those bond bills was signed Wednesday afternoon.
The package included $7 million for the University of Mississippi, including $2 million for the University Medical Center in Jackson, and $7 million for Mississippi State University, including $3 million for the veterinary school.
In total, the eight public universities received $29.8 million.
Other bond money went to items such as bridge repair and state agency buildings.
