Pickering: Government should be transparent
Sumrall has said he is the only candidate seeking the office who has an accounting background.
“We’re not electing an accountant,” Pickering said. “We’re electing an administrator, a CEO with a $10 million budget over a state agency.
“If you want someone to fix a broken arm, you hire a doctor. If you want someone to run your hospital, you hire an administrator,” he said.
