City councilman pushing Farish Street moratorium

By: Magnolia Tribune - August 23, 2007

The Clarion-Ledger, 8/23/7

Putting a moratorium on demolitions in the Farish Street Historic District would give city officials and Farish Street landowners time to sort out a plan for revitalizing the community, a Jackson City Council member said.

Councilman Leslie McLemore suggested the moratorium be six months. The council might consider it next week.
