Gen. Leon Collins of Jackson was appointed to the state Workers’ Compensation Commission, Gov. Haley Barbour announced today.
“His business qualifications along with his service in a variety of community organizations will help him in his work on this important commission,” Barbour said in a statement.
Collins, a Booneville native, will serve the remainder of an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2008. The commission administers and enforces the Mississippi Worker’s Compensation Law.
