The coast Senate battle between Scottie Cuevas and David Baria is one of the pivotal races for control of the State Senate. The Cuevas name is a huge name on the Coast. Baria is a known quantity in both Jackson circles and on the Coast, and was formerly head of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association.
A lot of proxy money is finding its way into this race.
