Ward One Election

In Jackson, only one candidate has filed the official paperwork so far, to run in next month’s Ward One special election. According to the city clerk, Leonard Jenkins has officially filed to run for the council seat. Jenkins has worked in city government for almost 30 years.

To run, candidates must be at least 18-years-old, have lived in Ward One for at least 30 days and they have to officially file with the city clerk by July 25th.
