Progress made on renovation of King Edward hotel

By: Magnolia Tribune - June 20, 2007

The Clarion-Ledger, 6/19/7

Since beginning renovation of the King Edward in December, workers have removed 70 30-plus-yard bins of debris from the historic downtown Jackson hotel.

“The hotel is safe now to walk through,” developer and attorney David Watkins told the mayor and a group of reporters today. However, hard hats were passed out before developers led a tour of the first three floors.
