2 Jackson officials to be paid lesser salaries

The Jackson City Council today voted to pay Assistant Fire Chief Todd Chandler and Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation Charles Melvin at a lesser salary.

Jackson Mayor Frank Melton had asked for Melvin to be paid $65,389.92 and Chandler to be paid $72,220.56.
