On Thursday the annual Mississippi Economic Council Hob Nob is set to happen at the Mississippi Coliseum. Over 1,300 leaders from all over the state will join for the 18th Annual event on October 31.
The event will allow attendees to hear from candidates for statewide office, network with fellow leaders from across Mississippi, and partake in delicious chicken, catfish, and BBQ pork.
This year Hob Nob will feature guests like Governor Phil Bryant, Speaker Philip Gunn, Auditor Shad White, as well as candidates for office like Lt. Governor Tate Reeves and Attorney General Jim Hood who are running for governor, Treasurer Lynn Fitch and Jennifer Riley Collins who are running for Attorney General and Secretary Delbert Hosemann and Rep. Jay Hughes who are running for Lt. Governor.
The Mississippi Economic Council has been the voice of Mississippi business since 1949. MEC deals with broad issues that relate to businesses through Advocacy, Research, Resources and Leadership.
On Friday, thousands will head to Tupelo to see President Trump host a rally in support of Lt. Governor Tate Reeves for Governor of Mississippi.

President Trump previously came to the magnolia state on behalf of now Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith in 2018. The rally will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Bancorp South Arena in Tupelo. To reserve tickets to the event you can do so HERE.
Days after President Trump’s announcement of a visit, Vice President Mike Pence also said he would make a stop in Biloxi on the Gulf Coast to support Reeves for Governor.
The GOTV rally will be held on Monday, October 4 at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (doors close at 11:30) at the Convention Center at The Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum.
The election is on November 5. The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
