Looking bad: Coach Gene Chizik was a masterful defensive coordinator at Texas, but his Auburn defenses have been average. When the forced turnovers dry up, the 23 points per game allowed on defense translates to losses.

Looking down the road: It’s not a stretch to say this team may be unbeaten by the time the Iron Bowl rolls around. Newton has to have a bad game at some point, but when?
