Jones leaving USC for Georgia

Georgia lost out in a fierce recruiting battle for Jarvis Jones in the class of 2009.

Jones, a highly rated linebacker from Columbus, Ga., chose Southern California over Georgia, Florida, LSU and Texas. But in his latest round of recruitment, the 6-foot-3, 236-pound Jones has decided to come back home and plans to play for the Bulldogs after getting his release from USC.
