Notre Dame will be staying as an independent
Paul Hornung dismissed all the talk that Notre Dame could join the Big Ten or any other conference. The reason? Notre Dame is on top of the world.
“Notre Dame doesn’t want anyone dictating to them what they can and can’t do,” Hornung says. “(The media) wouldn’t even think of it if it weren’t for a damn story. It’s not even feasible. They’re not going to change (expletive). Why would you change when you’re sitting on top of the world? They’ll go backwards.”
