Sporting News post-spring Top-10 college football

More than three months ago, Sporting News unveiled its early preseason top 10 for 2010. Not every team will maintain its spot in the rankings—Oregon and Georgia Tech won’t be this high in our next poll—but they’ve all been busy this spring.

1. Alabama
The Tide lost a critical run stuffer and underrated pass rusher (collapsing the pocket) in massive nose tackle Terrence Cody, a two-time All-American. But Josh Chapman is the projected starter at the position, and his mobility will allow Alabama to use more stunts with ends Marcell Dareus and Luther Davis.
