Rebels sanction analyst Porter
OXFORD — Yancy Porter, a recruiting analyst for the Ole Miss Spirit Web site, has been banned from attending Rebel practices the rest of the spring after the university deemed he broke its rules regarding photography of prospective recruits.
“It was a misinterpretation,” Porter said. “I will never, ever do something deliberately to break the rules. This was the same stuff I’ve been doing for years.”
