LSU baseball: Pitcher Anthony Ranaudo out another week

LSU All-American right-hander Anthony Ranaudo will be out another week with a sore pitching elbow, LSU Coach Paul Mainieri said Monday.

Ranaudo, who suffered a stress reaction in the team’s first game against Centenary Feb. 19, has not pitched since when he went five innings. Mainieri said the hope was that Ranaudo could pitch against Kansas this weekend but ruled that out after testing the elbow by throwing on Monday for the first time in two weeks.
