Florida’s Urban Meyer finally stepping back from program

GAINESVILLE – After National Signing Day and hiring a defensive coordinator, coach Urban Meyer finally appears to be detaching from the program.
Meyer, promised an indefinite leave of absence, did not participate in Saturday’s recruiting function called ‘Junior Day,’ when coaches show dozens of 2011 recruits the UF campus and football offices. These are the types of events Meyer typically attends.
