GAINESVILLE — Coach Urban Meyer’s health issues and a turbulent 2009 season didn’t derail arguably the best recruiting class in Florida Gators history.
Florida signed the most five-star players of anyone in the country, stocked every position with talent and experienced regional breakthroughs that could pay dividends for future recruiting classes.
Years of hard work and planting seeds paid off in Miami, where the Gators had signed one player from 2005-09. This year’s class includes four players from the Miami area.
