LSU’s Miles: Mission accomplished

BATON ROUGE — He looked out at the remaining Bayou Bash crowd of more than 2,000 in the Baton Rouge River Center on Wednesday afternoon and LSU football coach Les Miles proclaimed mission accomplished.

“This class is talented. It has speed, it’s what we needed and, in my opinion, they have character,” Miles declared to those who waited for him to take the podium at about 5:30 p.m., capping the annual signing-day affair.

“If you look at what we had to have, this class has that,” Miles said. “I can tell you that we’ll win championships with this class.”
