Computers, not the game, have bypassed JoePa

NASHVILLE – The school president called the head football coach onto the carpet. The coach had been derelict in his duties.
Not so tough to imagine.
Then again, imagine if the coach is Joe Paterno.
“I got a call from my president and he said, ‘Why don’t you answer your e-mail? You’ve got five or six hundred e-mails,’ ” said Paterno, the 82-year-old Penn State icon.
That would be a bit problematic.
Paterno didn’t even know he had an e-mail address.
“I don’t even have a computer,” he confessed.
