I believe, in Auburn, the transition from Tommy Tuberville to Gene Chizik has been more than a coaching change.
I believe, if Auburn were a country rather than a family, you’d call it a regime change. Tuberville’s been toppled. Long live Pat Dye.
It’s been reported elsewhere that Dye, who attended Chizik’s introduction Monday, said he felt more welcome in the football building that day than he had in 12 years.
“I didn’t say that,” Dye told me Thursday. “I said seven or eight years.”
