UM’s Palmer held from Cotton Bowl
OXFORD — Barring an unexpected twist, Ole Miss starting linebacker Ashlee Palmer will not play in the Cotton Bowl because of academic issues.
Palmer, a 6-foot-2, 222-pound senior, has played in all 12 games this season at outside linebacker and is fourth on the team with 48 tackles, including five for a loss.
“I’ll know for sure on Monday,” Nutt said. “But it doesn’t look good.”
