The hottest young coordinator in the country has agreed to become the richest young apprentice head coach in the game.
After two weeks of hush-hush negotiations, Texas announced Tuesday that it will more than double Muschamp’s annual salary to $900,000, starting in January, and that Muschamp will succeed head coach Mack Brown when Brown decides to retire.
