Congressman Harper Announces Over $3.4 Million for Airport Development in Mississippi’s Third District

Today, Congressman Harper announced the award of over $3.4 million for improvements to 5 airports that span across the Third Congressional District. The grants will be awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“I am grateful to the Federal Aviation Administration for investing in Mississippi,” said Harper. “This investment in our infrastructure is crucial to economic development and growth for cities across our district and our state.”

The 5 FAA grants for Mississippi’s Third Congressional District will support the following airport improvement projects:

Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers InternationalAirport, Jackson Municipal Airport Authority and City of Jackson – $1,649,617

Bruce Campbell Field, City of Madison – $600,000

Hardy-Anders Field Natchez-Adams County Airport, Natchez-Adams County Airport Board – $521,388

Paul Pittman Memorial Airport, Walthall County – $471,489

Prentiss-Jefferson Davis County Airport, Prentiss-Jefferson Davis County – $165,252
