State Supreme Court denies challenge to MS Power rate hike request
The Mississippi Supreme Court has dismissed Thomas Blanton’s challenge to an emergency rate increase requested by Mississippi Power to pay for its Kemper County plant.
The state supreme court ruled Thursday it’s premature to rule on the Public Service Commission’s latest rate increase for Mississippi Power until after the PSC holds a hearing on the matter. That hearing is set for Nov. 10.
