Union Co. superintendent candidate disqualified
The Mississippi Supreme Court has declared a candidate for Union County School Superintendent ineligible to run for the office.
WTVA-TV reports in an opinion Thursday, justices said Roger Browning did not provide evidence he actually lived in the school district. The court documents say there is evidence he lives within the New Albany School District.
Browning, a Republican, was disqualified by the Union County Election Commission on Aug. 18.
