Money for school-funding issue traced to 3 big donors
A political action committee — Better Schools, Better Jobs — supports the measure. All but $6,500 of the $2.6 million raised by the committee has come from two charities, the Southern Education Foundation and the New Venture Fund. Kellogg, Molpus and Barksdale are giving something more than $1.6 million to the charities.
