Iranian national threatens Mississippi deputy, falsely claims he has car explosive

Iranian national accused of making terroristic threats

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) – Mississippi officials shut down Interstate 10 for about 3 hours after an Iranian national knocked a deputy to the ground and claimed his vehicle contained explosives.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1hO6C20) Hancock County sheriff’s deputies arrested 32-year-old Safa Alidoust, of Lafayette, Louisiana. He faces charges of false reporting of an explosive device associated with terroristic threats and two counts of simple assault against a law enforcement officer.
