Ed board recommends takeover of Tunica school district
The State Board of Education voted on Wednesday to declare a state of emergency in Tunica County School District, paving the way for takeover of the district.
The decision came after a day of presentations and discussion with representatives of the Mississippi Department of Education, Tunica County School District, the Commission on School Accreditation and the state Board of Education.
