Auditor demands $1.3M from Neshoba officials in OT case
State Auditor Stacey Pickering has issued demands for more than $1.3 million from Neshoba County officials who were fired last year amid an investigation into fraudulent overtime payments.
Former county Payroll Clerk Tammy Gomillion, Purchasing Clerk Julie Faye Russell and Comptroller Jill Watkins allegedly submitted about 30,000 hours in fraudulent overtime over six years, Pickering said. He said they did not actually work the overtime nor did they receive proper approval to work overtime as required by the county.
