TeleSouth Communications, Inc., parent company of SuperTalk Mississippi, is pleased to announce the acquisition of 103.1 WOSM-FM, Ocean Springs. The station is set to become part of the SuperTalk Mississippi Network, serving the Gulf Coast and south Mississippi.
The SuperTalk Mississippi Network is carried on ten FM stations across Mississippi, all owned by parent company TeleSouth. The addition of WOSM to the network will give coast listeners the best choice in Mississippi programming with The Paul Gallo Show, The JT Show and Head to Head with Matt Wyatt and Richard Cross, all homegrown programs that keep a watch on the goings on of state government, entertainment, happenings unique to Mississippi, a local take on national issues, and sports, respectively. In addition to Mississippi-based programs, SuperTalk is also home to The Mike Huckabee Show, and Lars Larson.
“We are excited about growing the SuperTalk Network with the addition of WOSM,” said Steve Davenport, CEO of TeleSouth. “Mr. Cooper has worked hard for years building an audience loyal to traditional family values. We are confident that WOSM listeners will hear those values in the programs featured each day on SuperTalk.”
TeleSouth will be working through the summer to ready the station for its new programming. The transition team will include long-time coast talk show host and programmer Kipp Greggory, who will serve as general manager of WOSM.
