Sam Hall – Justice Waller will win re-election
Since I’ve been asked repeatedly this morning who I thought would win the central district Supreme Court race, let me go ahead and answer. After all, I’ve never been one to shy away from handicapping a race.
Chief Justice Bill Waller Jr. will likely win re-election. He’s been a much easier chief justice to deal with than his predecessor. Even his most stringent critics say he’s fair and likable and they respect him.
Certainly the high court continues to favor business interests in most cases, but attorneys generally no longer believe every verdict is predetermined as perhaps they once did.
