CL – Chuck McRae vs. Leisha Pickering in alienation of affection lawsuit
A year after suing her husband’s alleged mistress, the estranged wife of former U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering and the attorney who filed the alienation of affection lawsuit are at odds.
Former state Supreme Court Justice Chuck McRae has filed a motion to withdraw as Leisha Pickering’s attorney and is seeking a lien to hold property or other items of value until his legal fees are paid. The motion is set for a hearing next month, and in court papers, McRae refers to himself as her former attorney.
McRae didn’t return a phone call to The Clarion-Ledger.
The basis of the motion is not disclosed because McRae received permission from Circuit Judge Malcolm Harrison to file his motion under seal.
Leisha Pickering couldn’t be reached for comment. Chip Pickering also could not be reached for comment.
