Defense rests case in Jackson mayor trial
The defense has rested in Jackson Mayor Frank Melton’s federal trial.
Neither Melton nor former bodyguard Michael Recio testified in their defense.
The jury has been excused until 1:30 p.m. while attorneys work out final details of jury instructions.
